Open Day and what Knockmore has to offer!

Cross Party support of Knockmore has occured over the last few weeks and months. A Thank You goes to all those involved. Pictured below are only a few of the Lisburn Council representatives and MLA's who have shown their support, with members of the Working Group, Board of Governors and others at the meeting on Wednesday 30th November.  This meeting was to celebrate andThank Parents, staff, Political representatives and groups involved in the support of Knockmore Primary School.

Foundation and KS1 pupils headed to Hillsborough Forest Park for a day out exploring Nature and Autumn. Highlights can be seen below.

Fair Trade Fortnight

28th February - 13th March 2011

Our School's Council organised lots of fun-filled activities for us to take part in and raise awareness of Fair Trade.

 

David Thomas from Christian Aid came in to take our Assembly and speak about Fair Trade coffee and how buying it helps improve the lives of people in South America.

    

    

He also took a Fair Trade Workshop in the Year 6 classroom as part of their current topic work.

    

 

WORLD BOOK DAY 2011

To celebrate World Book Day each class participated in

D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) Time:

We also took turns in going to the library to be read a story by Mrs Dalton, our school librarian:

Each pupil in our school entered a 'Design a Book Mark' competition.

Winners were chosen from each class and they got a super book as a prize!
