Dear Parents/Carers,

The teachers had a lengthy staff meeting this morning and we ask that you read the following information.

 We realise that there has been a lot of information for parents on various forums over the last few months. Thank you for your patience as we amend information based on the most recent directives from the Department of Education.  

• School will be open for all pupils until 12.15 pm every day next week, 24th - 28th August.   Pupils do not require to bring a lunch.

• For those pupils who are transported by taxi or bus, parents should stay in close contact with the Transport Department at EANI in relation to whether EANI can transport children next week at these times. 

• In relation to half days next week, pick up times are as follows;

P1 Mrs Sharpe/Miss Boyce 12 noon (for September) – Foundation/KS1 Gate
P2 Mrs Burrows 12.05 pm – Foundation/KS1 Gate
P3/4 Mrs Jones 12.00 noon – KS2 Gate
P4/5 Mrs Boyd 12.05 pm – KS2 Gate
P6/7 Ms Colville 12.10 pm – KS2 Gate
P7 Mr Doak 12.15 pm  – KS2 Gate
P5/P6 Miss Montgomery 12.20 pm – KS2 Gate 

• Pupils in Year 1 have been a given an induction day on 19^thor 20th August. They will be phased in during w/c 24^th August, as per their group info, and stay until 12 noon.  From 1st September they will attend Monday to Friday.  

• All pupils now attend school for five days per week. 

• The parents of our new Unit pupils have been informed of induction meetings. 

• Drop-off:  8.45-9.15 am – pupils will be greeted by Classroom Assistants and brought to classrooms. Maintain social distancing with other parents.   Unit pupils should use the door leading to Mrs McCann’s class (at the car park).  Mainstream pupils should use the gates to both playgrounds at the back of the school. 

• From 1st September, at pick-up time, pupils in mainstream will be brought outside using a phased approach:

P1 Mrs Sharpe/Miss Boyce 12 noon (for September) – Foundation/KS1 Gate
P2 Mrs Burrows 2.00 pm – Foundation/KS1 Gate
P3/4 Mrs Jones 2.50 pm – KS2 Gate
P4/5 Mrs Boyd 2.55 pm – KS2 Gate
P7 Ms Colville 3.00 pm – KS2 Gate
P7 Mr Doak 3.00 pm – KS2 Gate
P5/P6 Miss Montgomery 3.05 pm – KS2 Gate 

Unit pupils in Years 1, 2 and 3 finish at 2 pm.   Unit pupils in Years 4 to 7 finish at 3 pm, except Friday when all pupils will finish at 2pm.  

• Remember, school finishes at 2.00 pm on Fridays for all pupils. 

• Children should come to school in freshly laundered clothes every day. This can be uniform or non-uniform clothing. 

• Children in P1, P2, SPLU1, SPLU2 and SPLU3 should only bring a coat, break time snack and lunch to school. 

• Children in P3 – P7 and SCU1, SCU2, SCU3 and SPLU4 may bring a schoolbag, coat, break time snack and lunch to school. 

• School meals will be available from 1^st September and need to be ordered for that week on Tuesday 1st September. 

• From Monday 7^th September onwards, meals must be ordered and paid for on a Monday to reduce risk in handling cash.  Please send a cheque or the correct money – we do not want to have to deal with change.   

• Free school meals are available from 1^st September.  We can only provide a free school meal to pupils whose names have been confirmed to us by the Education Authority.  Meals must be ordered on a Monday for that week.  If you are unsure if your child is on the list from EA, contact the office.  

• ‘Healthy Break’ and ‘School Milk’ are not available until further notice. 

• There will be no PE initially. 

• There are no Breakfast Club, After-School Clubs or extra-curricular activities until further notice. 

• If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the school email account. 

• School is closed on Monday 31^stAugust for the Bank Holiday.
