The class teacher is Miss Mulholland. Our classroom assistants are Mrs Lowry, Mrs Roberts and Mrs Nesbitt.

Halloween Disco

This week we had great fun at the Halloween disco.
In class we also made some tasty choccy apples and witches hats - Yum! We have been crafting and enjoying our Halloween themed sensory tray filled with all manner of creepy crawlies.

Numeracy

We have been learning about place value. Using concrete materials we can show hundreds, tens and ones. We can use what we know to split numbers up and combine numbers together.

P.E.

We have been working on keeping control of equipment in P.E. and moving our bodies in creative ways.

Sliding, rolling and throwing with control means we can play games to practise our skills.

We went on a nature walk looking for signs of the changing season.

We found some beautiful coloured leaves and were surprised by how many cookers there were!

Christmas in SCU2

We have had a great time making stained glass windows, tree decorations and other Christmas crafts. Santa made a visit and assured us we have all made the nice list!

We had crazy hair day and enjoyed showing off our styles.

World Around Us

Our topic has been Waste Watchers so we have been learning all about recycling and the effects of litter on the environment.

We had a recycling workshop with Anna and Zara from Ecoschools, where we practised sorting litter.

Christmas treat

Our class elf surprised us with hot chocolate and cake for working so hard on the lead up to Christmas!

Maths Topic - Time

Time to show off our skills in telling the time! Well done Guys!

We have been working on analogue and digital clocks.

Sensory Play

We love sensory play in SCU2. We get to be creative, try new things and extend our vocabulary by using describing words.

The Fire Service came to talk to us about fire safety at home. We learned lots about what they do and got to see inside the fire engine!

Congratulations to our Lexia Superstars! They’ve worked so hard to complete their next level. Keep up the good work!

6th February Safer Internet Day

Today we learned all about AI and how it can be useful but also can create problems if people use it to lie.

Over the past week we have been learning all about the POP-UP GREMLINS and what to do if something pops up when we are online. Remember to STOP what you are doing, CLOSE your device and TELL an adult you trust.

Maths Topic - Money

We have been learning all about using money. Our classroom has it's own shop to help us practice counting out exact amounts and giving change to customers.

We have loved all the practical activities and online money games too!
